Meet Dr. Devin Gapstur: Dentist in St. Petersburg, FL

Dr. Devin Gapstur is a native Floridian, born in West Palm Beach and raised in Stuart. She earned both her Bachelor of Science degree and Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Florida and has been proudly serving patients throughout the Tampa Bay area for the past several years.

Dr. Gapstur is an active member of several local and national dental organizations, including the Pinellas County Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and American Dental Association. She previously served on the Executive Board of the Pinellas County Dental Association, serving as the President of the organization in 2023. A strong commitment to community service has always been an important part of her career. For several years, she has volunteered her time and dental expertise through the Pinellas County Dental Clinic and Mission of Mercy events, providing care to members of the community who may otherwise have limited access to dental services.

During her time at the University of Florida, Dr. Gapstur was actively involved in dental education. She served as an assistant professor for a restorative dentistry course focused on crown and bridge restorations and as a tutor for undergraduate nutrition courses. She also worked with the University of Florida’s Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Tacachale dental clinic, which provides specialized dental care for individuals with developmental disabilities. This experience helped shape her passion for family dentistry and reinforced her belief that every patient deserves compassionate, individualized care.

Dr. Gapstur has pursued extensive continuing education in restorative dentistry, periodontal health, and implant dentistry. Her clinical interests include the relationship between dental restorations and periodontal tissues as well as implant restorations and treatment planning. She has participated in numerous advanced courses and professional meetings, including those hosted by the Academy of Osseointegration. She is also experienced in surgical procedures such as tooth extractions and ridge preservation and takes pride in providing comfortable, thoughtful surgical care.

Embracing advances in dental technology is another important part of Dr. Gapstur’s practice. She has extensive experience with CAD/CAM dentistry and CEREC same-day crown technology, allowing patients to benefit from efficient, modern treatment options. She is also certified in Invisalign® and SureSmile® orthodontic treatment, providing patients with conservative and comprehensive options for improving both function and aesthetics.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Gapstur enjoys spending time with her family and embracing the Florida lifestyle. She enjoys golfing, fishing, and long-distance running. During her time at the University of Florida, she was a member of the track and cross-country teams.
